You don’t need to belong to a co-op, microschool, or homeschool group to have school pictures taken.
If you homeschool one, two, or three kids and simply want beautiful yearly portraits that mark this season of their lives, you’re absolutely in the right place.
Each child gets their own portraits, and sibling photos can be included too — so you walk away with the school-picture tradition without needing an actual school picture day.
Modern Homeschool Photography
With more than 16 years behind the camera—and my own experience as a homeschool mom—I know these yearly portraits are about more than checking “school pictures” off a list.
Kids don’t need to perform for me. I keep things relaxed, give them enough direction to feel comfortable, and make room for the expressions that actually look like them.

I also photograph homeschool co-ops, microschools, hybrid programs, and other learning communities with a separate picture-day experience designed for multiple families.
Relaxed, polished portraits in beautiful natural light with a little more room for personality.
Prefer a more traditional school-picture look? A simple colored backdrop can create that familiar, timeless feel.

Your child’s session includes:
Photographing more than one child? I’m happy to include a portrait of your children together at no additional session fee.
There’s no separate image purchase required to receive the two finished portraits included for each child.
Sessions are intentionally quick and relaxed — especially for younger kids — while still giving each child enough time to settle in and let their personality show.
Each child gets time in front of the camera individually, with sibling photos included if that’s part of your session.
I’ll help with clothing, location, and what to expect so you’re not trying to figure everything out yourself.
Tell me a little about your family, your children’s ages, and what you’re hoping to capture.
SIMPLE FROM START TO FINISH
You’ll receive a private online gallery with your finished images and options for downloading and ordering professional prints.
Absolutely. You don’t need to belong to a homeschool co-op or have multiple children to book. These sessions are designed for homeschool families who simply want beautiful, updated school-style portraits of their kids.
01. Can I book homeschool portraits for just one child?
Yes! When I’m photographing more than one child in your family, I’m happy to include a sibling portrait of your children together at no additional session fee.
And if one of your children attends a traditional school while another is homeschooled, that’s completely fine too. Siblings are welcome.
02. Can you photograph siblings together?
Each child receives 2 professionally edited portraits, and each selected portrait is delivered as a full-resolution digital file in both color and black & white.
Your files are yours to download, keep, share, and print wherever you’d like for personal use. You’ll also receive a private online gallery with the option to order professional-quality prints or purchase additional finished images if you fall in love with more.
There’s no additional image purchase required to receive the portraits already included with your session.
03. What's included in the $175 per child?
For most families, I recommend a simple outdoor setting with beautiful natural light. It keeps the experience relaxed and gives us a little more room to capture genuine personality while still creating polished, classic portraits.
Once I know the general area you live in, I can help recommend a location that makes sense.
Prefer the familiar look of traditional school pictures? We can also discuss a simple colored backdrop instead.
04. Where do homeschool portrait sessions take place?
Simple is usually best. Choose something that feels like your child, fits well, and doesn’t compete for attention in the photograph.
Once your session is scheduled, I’ll send you straightforward prep guidance so you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
05. What should my child wear?
These portraits are intentionally quick and relaxed, especially for younger children.
I don’t believe kids need a long photo session to create a beautiful portrait. I’ll give each child enough time to get comfortable, offer plenty of direction, and keep things moving before picture-taking starts to feel like a chore.
06. How long does the session take?
