Shannon O’Malley is an online dating photographer, confidence coach, and visibility advocate—known for helping real people feel magnetic in front of the camera and in their own skin.

Her emotionally intelligent portraits go beyond “getting more matches.” They’re about showing up fully—after divorce, heartbreak, or simply a season of forgetting your own worth. Shannon’s work blends storytelling, strategy, and soul to reflect who her clients are at their most alive.

Based in Minneapolis and ranked the #1 dating profile photographer in the Twin Cities, Shannon has photographed hundreds of clients navigating new beginnings—from fresh starts and post-breakup glow-ups to major life transitions.

In 2025, her work was featured on CBS/WCCO News and distributed nationally by CNN NewsSource, with major media pickups including Yahoo! News, MSN, ABC, and more than a dozen local stations across the U.S.

She lives in Minnesota with her husband (whom she met on Bumble at 42), her college-aged son, two college-aged stepsons, and a stepdaughter living in California.

Shannon is also the creator of the blog series “Expert Voices on Modern Dating,” where she interviews therapists, dating coaches, and relationship thought leaders to explore what it really takes to find love in today’s digital world. Her goal? To bring real, nuanced conversations to the surface—no swipe culture fluff.
