I’m Shannon O’Malley, founder and photographer behind Shannon Kathleen Photography.
For more than 16 years, I’ve photographed real people — many of whom arrived convinced they were awkward, unphotogenic, or simply “bad at pictures.”
Today, I specialize in strategy-led dating photography and profile first-impression work for thoughtful adults who want to show up naturally, confidently, and without performing.
My own return to online dating in my 40s ultimately led me to meeting my husband on Bumble — but it also showed me firsthand how vulnerable it can feel to put yourself back out there and try to translate a whole human life into a handful of photos and prompts.
That perspective shapes how I work with every client.
My job is not to manufacture a more marketable version of someone.
It’s to help the person who is already there come through more clearly.

Do you offer referral commissions?
Only with the client’s permission. Their profile materials, questionnaire responses, and personal information remain private unless they explicitly ask us to collaborate.
Will you report back to me about the client?
Photography sessions are primarily offered in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with select return dates in the Twin Cities. The Match-Ready™ Profile Audit is virtual and available to clients anywhere.
Do you work only with clients in Dallas?
